MTV's Top 10 Most Embarrassing Moments In The History Of The VMA's

In Live TV, every so often something doesn't come across as planned or someone steps over the line. Judge for yourself, but we think these are 10 of MTV's most embarrassing VMA moments!

1. Madonna kisses Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera  in 2003.

Come one? 2003? Who was Madonna trying to shock with this performance?

2.Britney Spears at the VMA's 2007 performing Gimme More. One of the worst VMA performances ever.

Shame on those in her team that let her go out there and embarrass herself at this scale. This was unrehearsed, she looked flabby, just a shame...

3.Michael Jackson kisses Lisa Marie Presley VMA 1994

Really, that's your opening statement? Michael says "People thought this wouldn't last"? They only just got together, it made no sense in the first place. Stupid idea for an opening.

4.Puff Daddy, Sting, Faith Evans, 112, 1997 – “I’ll Be Missing You”

Not sure what happened here. Pretty much everything is wrong her. Sting's singing, the choreography, Puff Daddy's performance ...All I can say is don't watch it, it hurts...

5.Lil Wayne at the VMA 2011 - How To Love And John (Iron Man)

OK, it's Lil Wayne, so all is forgiven, but if this wasn't Lil Wayne, the terrible mumbling and autotune mess would not have been forgiven.

6.The Monkees I'm a Believer at the VMA's 1986

Just terrible sub standard even at 1986. The MTV producers must have been crying during this piece.

7.MC Hammer MTV VMA September 6, 1990

This was 3 years before I started to work at MTV and yet this feels like it's from a different planet or dimension. What is he wearing? And the music and the dancing! Is this really what went on in 1990?

8.Taylor Swift: Kanye West: VMA Awards 2009 - Imma Let You Finish

Here's an unforgettable moment with signature behaviour by Kanye West.

9.Laddy Gagga Accepts VMA at the 2010 awards in a disgusting Meat Dress

Maybe it wasn't embarrassing, but it was stupid and ugly enough to make this list.

10.Guns N' Roses Live at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards

This wasn't only embarrassing, it was also the biggest disappointment in the history of the VMA's. Who was that band? WHere was Slash and what was Axl Rose singing? Axl totally sucked.
