Oneonta Creek splits into three channels, flowing around bulbous protrusions in the basaltic bedrock, each channel plunging 64 feet into a large sheer-walled amphitheater, creating a classic example of the Segmented form of a waterfall.


At the end of the Pipiwai Trail in the Haleakala National Park you'll find Waimoku Falls, a breathtaking 400ft waterfall nestled in private valley on Maui, Hawaii. The trail also includes a huge mature bamboo forest, views of many waterfalls and the carvings they produce from the lava rock, and a giant Banyan tree. Shoshone Falls is among the most spectacular of natural beauties along the Snake River. At 212 feet, the falls are higher than Niagara Falls. In the winter, Alaska's Bridal Veil Falls is popular with ice climbers. When the water is flowing, the mist creates a veil over the rock.

About 150,000 visitors a year visit the Cascades. Without question, Cascade Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Virginia and possibly on the entire East Coast.

Just under the swing bridge on the north side of Glen Park in River Falls, Wisconsin is a nice little waterfall. I have visited it previously quite a few times to photograph it but never spent the time to capture it in motion. The weather that morning had been the best it could have been for winter with the trees covered in frost. Unfortunately, the heat of the city kept the frost away from the falls and the surrounding area
This time lapse took 1872 images to create with 35+ hours of editing time. I increased the speed of the "relaxing" music to better match the faster paced editing and video.


Bond Falls, near Paulding, Michigan cascades over boulders with brilliant fall foliage all around. Paulding's Bond Falls has a boardwalk from the parking lot where visitors can take a short walk to a great view of the rushing water.
